When construction finished in 1894, Belcourt was noted for its extensive stables and carriage areas. Docked at the Aloha Tower Complex is the Falls of Clyde, the only iron-hulled, four-masted ship in the world. However, the museum has much more than paintings. In the basement you can see the Thorne Rooms. The Museum was founded in 1869. Its first home was the Arsenal building in Central Park. The entrance front gives the impression of a villa of very modest proportions. Art Institute pressed for a building on the lakefront to be constructed for the fair. The Acosta Bridge in Jacksonville, FL spans the St. Johns River, connecting I-95 southbound to Swarovski Riverside Avenue. The Aloha Tower is a lighthouse that is considered one of the premier landmarks of the state of Hawaii in the United States. It was built in Hawaiian gothic architecture and is a National Historic Landmark. After receiving his MLA degree from Harvard in 1938, Eckbo returned to California where he worked for the Farm. In 1866, a group of 35 artists founded the Chicago Academy of Design in a studio on Dearborn street.
